Are you active in your spiritual community? Are you looking
for a way to make a difference in the world? At The Center for Spiritual Living
Tacoma, there are many ways to get involved and to contribute to your spiritual
community.
Volunteers are invaluable at the Center, and are always
needed. Every Sunday, and throughout the week, volunteers make our Center work.
With very few paid employees, CSL Tacoma relies on the contributions of members
through volunteerism to keep its doors open and its services running smoothly.
Take a moment to look over the list below. To volunteer, sign up at the
Volunteer table in Fellowship Hall. You may also call the church to
register for service at (253) 383-3151.
Greeters lovingly greet everyone at the
Center. Greeters keep track of our attendance each week and invite the children
to join us at the end of service.
Ushers maintain a consciousness of prosperity while collecting the tithes and
offerings. Ushers count the offering at the end of each service and fill out
the Sunday report.
Hospitality volunteers purchase, prepare and serve coffee, tea and Sunday
snacks. Hospitality volunteers bring a warm and welcoming atmosphere to
our after-service gatherings.
The Sound team records our service each week. Their technical ability
allows us to fully enjoy the musical and audio aspects of our services.
The Sound team also duplicates and distributes CDs of our service.
Our Bookstore volunteers are skilled in retail, able to handle documentation of
sales, receive books and provide quality customer service.
Youth & Family Ministries volunteers work under the direction of the Director, using
the Virtues Curriculum as a guide to character education and spiritual truths.
Special Events and Projects Volunteers are called upon to do any number of
occasional or unusual jobs at or for the Center. These jobs could include
collecting money at special functions, cleaning up after events, or setting up
for events.
We also gather for such things as painting, cleaning, grounds maintenance,
special events and festivals.
